 One hole shaped a side-silhouette of my body is cut out on this wooden board. The shape is my own mold. I got into the hole and took a position just like my body is divided left and right across the board. After that, I kept a posture and silence for one hour. By visually dividing my body, I showed a contrasting relationship of between the immobility of the board and the mobility of my body in a kind of restraint situation.

　板には人の頭部から胴体部にかけての側面輪郭が切り出されている。それは作者本人の上半身から型取ったものである。作者はその中に入り、板を挟んで体が左右に分かれるよう位置に着く。そのまま目を閉じ、身体と板の動きをゆっくりと静止させる。途中、手足を組み変えて身体と板とを支えながら、１時間を板のなかで過ごす。

　身体を視覚的に「分ける」ことで、拘束に近いその状況下で保たれ、時に作り直される姿勢の揺らぎと、平らであり続ける板との対照関係を見せた。
